250 kids from Barnes Primary filled their rugby boots last week in a specially organised rugby camp, and what a day they had!

Amazing to see so many kids from Barnes Primary School enjoying themselves at their own special Barnes Rugby Summer Camp - well done to the Minis for organising it!

On a bright sunshiney day, 250 boys and girls from Barnes Primary School formed 29 rugby teams from years 3-4-5-6 - aged 8-11 to take part in a bespoke rugby camp.

Barnes's Rugby Minis Coaches organised a tag rugby event on the BEST pitches at Barn Elms and much fun was had by all particpiants.

Every player also received a Buy-One-Get-One-Free voucher card to be redeemed at Chipotle Putney and Barnes Rugby Legend (and Barnes Primary School Trustee) Neil Hempsall handed out decided Player-Of-The-Team awards (29 in all who also received a free main course meal at Chipotle - yum-yum!).

Awards were for all sorts of reasons, most improved, best spirit etc etc. and were chosen by teachers and Barnes coaches collectively.

The Barnes Primary PE head Nicole, in the attached picture with Neil Hempsall, is a former rugby international so was chuffed to bits about the day.

Well done to all involved organsing the day, the first of many we hope!
