#BarnowCares - Get involved and show someone you care
Hi everyone,
In recent weeks I have been talking about a range of activities we as a club are getting behind, two before Easter, and two specific fund-raising activities after.
We have completed the first initiative #FullOfBeans collecting nearly three metric tonnes of food for Kingston Food Bank and now we are focussing on the next one #BarnowCares which we are going to carry out next week.
Before reminding you about it, and letting you know how you can help, I am also delighted to tell you that we have arranged two Barnes Men’s 1st XV games in May, away against London Irish (15th May) and Esher (22nd May) more information to follow but this is hugely exciting for our club! I believe the minis and juniors will start training again this weekend too!
Back to #BarnowCares and how you can help. Over recent weeks I have been asking for champions to support Joe Gray on this initiative. To remind you the plan is to send a small Secret Santa type gift, worth up to £20, to someone we want to show that Barnes RFC cares about them. It could be an unsung hero in the club, someone who has struggled over the last year with the pandemic or someone who just misses their mates at Barnes RFC. We want to share the Barnow love this Easter and bring a smile to their face when they receive a little pick-me-up something from the Barnow Easter bunny.
So far, we have got together a cross-club group of champions, who we hope can galvanise others into action to support this (we can still take more of course) and we have a growing list of worthy recipients, but again we are happy to receive suggestions from any part of the club, past or present.
That is what #BarnowCares is all about, showing that we care for others in our community at this difficult time.
You can help in three ways right now:
1. If you want to be a champion to drive support in your part of the club then the more the merrier – please email Joe or myself. joe@myomaster.com michael@thepinkrhino.com
2. If you know anyone that you think deserves cheering up this Easter please let Joe or I know who they are, why they would like to receive a gift from Barnes RFC and what their address is. joe@myomaster.com michael@thepinkrhino.com
3. If you do nothing else please make a donation on the link below, any amount will be put to good use.

Thank you for supporting our club, thank you for thinking of someone else and onwards and upwards Barnow!
#BarnowCares help us put a smile on someone’s face this Easter
